First-time setup: create your Google connection
  1. Open Google Cloud Console and create a project named CHAITHU Studio.
  2. In APIs & Services → Library, enable Google Drive API.
  3. Open Google Auth Platform. Set the app name to CHAITHU Studio and your support/contact email. For a personal Gmail account, choose External and add your Google account as a test user.
  4. Under Data Access, add https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. Studio needs access only to files it creates or you select.
  5. Under Clients, create an OAuth client with type Web application. Add this exact authorized redirect URI:
    http://127.0.0.1:8765/api/drive/callback
  6. Download the client JSON. Upload it below from this laptop, then choose Connect Google Drive and approve access on Google’s page.

Testing-mode Google grants may expire after seven days; reconnect if asked. Drive storage limits still apply. Keep this JSON private; do not paste its contents into chat.

Connecting starts backup of saved caption projects and their source videos. Disconnect stops future sync after any in-flight request finishes; existing Drive files remain. You can revoke access in your Google Account. Original videos upload once; caption edits upload separately.

Open a Drive backup

Restoring creates a new local project so it cannot overwrite your current edits. Projects stay on the device where you created them until cloud backup is connected.
